Good Design Award 2010

Dear Sirs,

We are pleased to share the news of the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2010 assignment.
The Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design Centre, has awarded “RIAD” couch, the latest model of our collection, with the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2010.
Our work supported shared and planned with “Studio Driusso Associati “ Architects has enabled us to meet this prestigious goal.
Since 1950 this competition chooses the best international design and it is the most important worldwide award. It is particularly aspired and loved also for the cofounders fame Eero Saarinen, Charles e Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufman Jr.

Ever since it has started, the principal criterias for the selection, which privilege the form and function, are still the same ones.
The long journey for RIAD’s final achievement is based on the equilibrium between soft and embracing lines and the strict external skeleton which also take in consideration the ergonomics, the comfort and the aesthetics. RIAD is a couch thought for living together with shapes and solutions to live better today and tomorrow.

The prize is a message to be passed on to all the end users who are design conscious and to those who appreciate its elegance and its class.
